Desperate Train

Scott Carnder and I wrote this song. We played together for 10 years in The Sloes. Scott is a great musician, and he now plays in a contemporary bluegrass group called Hickory Robot. This song is a nice memory of our time performing together.
Desperate Train
Carnder and Lisak

It’s a harder fall
when you’re hit from behind
Think you see clearly.
I did Turns out you’re blind.
She’s put me behind her. My world’s come undone.
Cold wind crawled up inside me.
Dark clouds block the sun.

I am riding
on a desperate train.
There’s no horizon. Stop this pain, stop this pain.

Tried to make her love me.
But that was my mistake.
Don’t know how to change things.
I just know that I’m too late.
Gotta close the door.
I gotta fade to black.
Gotta jump that train,
and don’t think of comin’ back.

I am riding
on a desperate train.
There’s no horizon.
Stop this pain, stop this pain.
